The Crazy Desiel Driver....

This morning we took Brennan to the Doc and on the way up hwy 55 we encountered something interesting. Jimmy was driving and said he didn't know why this diesel was trying to race him. I thought it strange, Jimmy would speed up and he would to, Jimmy would slow down and so did he. Got in another lane, so did the driver to stay next to us..This confused me, until I finally looked over and noticed him checking me out!!
He continued this behavior (not watching the road at all!!!) until we turned on 270 and he went the other way. He blew me a kiss as he drove off and I flipped him the bird..... I couldn't believe it!!!! LOL, he could of caused a bad accident. And I am not that pretty to stop traffic like that...... He was just insane!!!

Brennan and the tooth.....

So last night Brennan told me his tooth was falling out. I looked at him and thought what? Teeth don't fall out at his age, he is only 3. So I giggled at him and figured that it was because he had been watching cartoons and they sometimes talk about the tooth fairy. Well, needless to say today I was on the computer and he walked up to me and handed me something that looked very much like a tooth and told me he had lost a tooth. I was immediatly concerned and kicked myself for brushing it off the night before. UGH! We do brush his teeth, in fact its one of his favorite things to do. I let him do it, so it might not get as clean as if I would of done it. But thats how he learns and I help him when needed. So now I was thinking my God, I screwed up and now his teeth are falling out! I called the doctor as we do not have a dentist for him yet. They gave me the number of a very good childrens dentist. I hung up and quickly dialed, the receptionist told me to check his mouth for a loose tooth or blood. I checked and could find neither. As I stood there talking to her I starred at the tooth in my hand thinking where did this come from. It looks like a tooth but I cannot see were he is missing any. As I looked closer, I notice the resemblance of hot glue! He had been playing in a box using it for his puppy house. I guess he found it and thought it looked like a tooth to! So he told me he lost it. He had alot of fun watching me freak out and just sat there smiling at me. I asked him, Brennan did you loose a tooth - Yes..... Is this hot glue out of the box - yes.... with a huge grin....... So I saved it to show Jimmy and talked to the receptionist who laughed at me and explain my options. After all, we didn't have a dentist yet and he still needs to go to the dentist to make sure he doesn't really loose any teeth in the future...... So finally, after my almost 3 month long blog freeze - Brennan gives me something to write about.... Thank you Brennan! Next time, just please don't make me flip out....... KIDS!!!!! Gotta love them.....

Oh, and now.... he is talking about how the tooth fairy is going to come and leave him a present.
I got a present for him alright! A big fat kiss on the check for keeping his momma on her toes!

My memories of Grandpa....

These are some memories that I have of grandpa. Just thought I would write them down as I am really going to miss him.

The pink house-

1) I remember playing under the weeping willow tree and watching the eagles soar from the upstairs window with grandpa and his binoculars.
2) Playing strawberry shortcake in the living room and eating ice cream in the entry room.

3) Seeing all of the canned foods they had jarred and stored in the garage.

4) The time when he cut the tree down and it fell on the truck I was in. They were both so worried about me- but I was fine.

5) I remember -David, Angela and I waveing goodbye to grandma and grandpa out the back window of the yellow car until they were out of sight.

6) The coo coo clock in his living room, that was an awesome clock.

7) bbq's

The Ranch-

8) Fire rings and roasting marshmellows.

9) Grandpa killed the snake that was in the water hole that scared me and made it safe for me to return swimming...... My hero!

10) Grandpa sneaking me more of whatever when mom said enough. He was always good for that.

11) I have so many memories of Grandpa and Grandma at the ranch. It is such a big part of my childhood and I love it there.

General-

12) Dancing with him at my wedding and it was such a classic song we danced to ( What a wonderful world ) and he has some fancy footwork. Go Grandpa! You Rock!

13) Going strawberry picking.

14) Many many Christmas's

15) Making you laugh this last time I seen you. It made my heart so happy to see you smile.

Grandpa,

It is for all of these reasons and much much more that I love you very much. You mean more to me than you will ever know. I love you and am very happy that out of all the men in the world, you are my grandpa..... Thank you for always loving me.

Funny Glasses, courtesy of Aunt Kathy...

Here are the men in my life. Enjoying the new specks that Aunt Kathy sent up with mom. Thank you Aunt Kathy. They all looked so cute. Brennan loved the glasses but didn't want a picture in them. This is the best I got of him. Lots of love, ME......

Help! I think it's stuck!!!!!

Sweet baby. Caleb had his 1 year check up today. Hard to believe he is a year old already. They doctor said he looks good, however he is in the smaller range for 1 year olds. Which is odd because Brennan was huge at this age, he was always a couple sizes larger than his age. So far Caleb has followed along pretty nicely. Currently he is wearing 12 month clothes. Which is good. Right now he is sleeping as he is exhausted. Had 4 shots today. He cried and cried, but quickly stopped when it was over and I held him. Wouldn't it be nice if everything could be fixed with a mothers hug. Sure would make raising kids a little easier. Well, I gotta go. Brennan has switched the tv station and it is currently on fuzz, he is walking around saying he broke it and needs a screwdriver to fix it. Right now he is standing with his little nose smashed up on the side of the entertainment center looking at the back of the tv, saying I'm gonna fix the wagon.... lol.... Arn't kids great. Where do they get this stuff, I just love raising boys. Still would like to have a little girl someday though...
